Valleyview Public School was the first green school in Northern Ontario. Accommodating 600 students from junior kindergarten to grade 8 and a daycare facility for 45 infants, toddlers and preschoolers. The project was constructed on a 10-acre site occupied by the existing school. The new school was designed to be built around the existing building, allowing the existing school to operate uninterrupted, while the new school was constructed.
